DESCRIPTION: William L. Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Conn., "Amphion" shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time, strike and alarm movement in a walnut case with burl accents and cut glass mirror panels in the case adjacent to and below the door.
CONDITION: The case is in very good condition with original finish. There are two minor cracks in the case, one just to the top right of the door and the other in the base underneath the right hand column. The 3 cut glass mirror panels have minor chipping along the edges, The paper dial is original but quite darkened. The hands are original. The pendulum has a fancy cut glass bob with a star design. The movement is signed. The stenciled door glass is original,
